Treb Monteras’ stirring drama, Respeto, has bagged the Best Film Award at the 2018 Entertainment Editors’ Choice Awards, or the Eddys.

The film leads the winners with five more awards on top of Best Film, including Best Supporting Actress (Chai Fonacier, tied with Angeli Bayani and Therese Malvar); and Best Supporting Actor (Dido Dela Paz); Best Musical Score (Jay Durias); Best Sound Design (Corinne De San Jose); and Best Original Theme Song (“Respeto” by Abra and Loonie).

Mikhail Red’s Birdshot follows that streak with two separate wins in the Best Director (Mikhail Red) and Best Actress (Mary Joy Apostol) categories.
