Drew Goddard’s neo-western “Bad Times at the El Royale” drops first trailer
The first trailer for Drew Goddard’s neo-Western, “Bad Times at the El Royale”, has dropped, teasing supple tension and neon-lit intrigue at the company of great thespic talents. The film is his sophomore feature, following the success of his debut, the 2012 meta-horror “Cabin in the Woods”.
Goddard directs and writes this standoffish, unmistakably Tarantino-like thriller, replete with lively cinematography, blistering one-liners, and Asgardian six-packs (thanks, Thor). Read the full synopsis below:
Seven strangers, each with a secret to bury, meet at Lake Tahoe’s El Royale, a rundown hotel with a dark past. Over the course of one fateful night, everyone will have a last shot at redemption – before everything goes to hell.
The film boasts a powerhouse cast with Chris Hemsworth, Dakota Johnson, Jon Hamm, Nick Offerman, Jeff Bridges, Cynthia Erivo, Jonathan Whitesell, Lewis Pullman, and Cailee Spaeny among others.
“Bad Times at the El Royale” opens across Philippine theaters October 17.
