The first trailer for the newest Spike Lee joint, “BlacKkKlansman”, has just dropped, and it looks quite the trip. The film chronicles Ron Stallworth’s mission to infiltrate the infamous Ku Klux Klan, which will eventually lead to the group’s takedown. It stars John David Washington, Adam Driver, and Topher Grace, among others.

Here’s the official synopsis.

Ron Stallworth, the first African-American police officer in Colorado Springs, Colo., works under cover to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan in 1979. Stallworth and his partner Flip Zimmerman risk their lives to penetrate the KKK at its highest levels.

“BlacKkKlansman” first premiered at this year’s Cannes on Monday to glowing critical praise.

The Jordan Peele-produced film has yet to announce an official release date in the Philippines.
