Last year, Kris Aquino announced that she has been cast for a minor role in Jon M. Chu’s much anticipated film, “Crazy Rich Asians”. However, not much has been revealed about her character, and she’s nowhere to be seen in the trailer, so fans have been left in the dark about her involvement in the movie.

That is until a few days ago when Kris Aquino has finally been credited in the IMDB page of “Crazy Rich Asians” as part of the cast, with the name her character being “Princess Intan”. This may be a confirmation to the speculation that the “Queen of All Media” will be playing a Malaysian princess in the film.

And now, Kris Aquino finally shared an exclusive first look at her character in one of the scenes that they shot for the movie. Kris posted on Instagram a picture of her together with “Crazy Rich Asians” lead and “Fresh Off the Boat” star Constance Wu. Michelle Yeoh, who plays Eleanor Young in the film, can also be seen in the background.

Kris Aquino describes the scene as “pivotal” in the movie. In the caption, she proudly shares that the gown she’s wearing in the shot is by Filipino designer Michael Cinco. Aquino also asks her followers for prayers that she gets her medical clearance so that she can represent the Philippines in the Hollywood premier of the movie on August 7.

Prior to this announcement, Kris Aquino has been dropping clues around her involvement in “Crazy Rich Asians”. She has posted a couple of photos with Constance Wu, and updates on her travels to Singapore, which is also reportedly where the said movie was filmed. There was no actual mention of the movie in previous posts, but it’s understandable given that she previously mentioned a non-disclosure agreement.

“Crazy Rich Asians” will be in Philippines cinemas on August 22, 2018.
