The title of the upcoming Kathryn – Alden movie has finally been revealed! Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards shared the movie’s poster on their Instagram accounts, revealing that the title of their first movie project together is “Hello, Love, Goodbye”. See the movie poster below:
Kathryn and Alden took to their respective Instagram accounts to announce the film.
Directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina, Hello, Love, Goodbye is Kathryn and Alden’s first movie together. Both actors have huge fanbases, given that both of them are big stars of rival networks ABS-CBN and GMA. They also have their own love teams from their home networks: Kathryn is one-half of the “KathNiel” love team with Daniel Padilla, while Alden is teamed up with Maine Mendoza, a.k.a. Yaya Dub (“AlDub”)
“Hello, Love, Goodbye” will be about OFWs in Hong Kong, which explains the neon-lit Hong Kong street in the poster. That’s about the full extent of what we know about the movie so far, story-wise.
It’s interesting to see networks taking risks by exploring movies without relying on the formulaic popular love teams. Earlier this year, Nadine Lustre, who’s known as part of the “Jadine” love team with James Reid, starred in Irene Villamor’s “Ulan”, where she is paired up with Carlo Aquino, among other actors. Last year, Reid also starred in Joyce E. Bernal’s adaptation of “Miss Granny” with Sarah Geronimo. In the 2018 MMFF, Maine Mendoza starred in “Jack Em Popoy: The Puliscredibles” together with Vic Sotto and Coco Martin.
There is no official release date yet, but Alden’s and Kathryn’s captions in their Instagram posts confirm that the movie will be in cinemas this year.
