My reaction to J.A. Bayona’s “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” was rather lukewarm—you can read my review here—an apt response to a film that, at best, is frustratingly okay. There are few majorly positive takeaways, except that Bayona can turn a weak script into a supremely watchable piece of blockbuster mayhem. The gripping escape sequence set at Isla Nublar alone, featuring a scene inside a sphere-pod, all but assures “Fallen Kingdom”, though imperfect, will less likely fade out of memory.
