Lockdown Cinema Club has been hard at work in raising funds to help film workers who earn below minimum-wage in a no-work, no-pay basis. The initiative has hit more than three million pesos – well past their initial goal of two million.

But as our current situation worsens, what with little to no talk about how the country will combat the COVID-19 pandemic (except President Duterte’s explicit threats to “shoot down” civilians who are deemed unruly), there is no sign that things will be better soon. Therefore, we mustn’t stop banding together. It sure seems that, to get through this, we can now only count on ourselves from now on.

In line with its continued mission to help, Lockdown Cinema Club (in collaboration with Lupon ng Pilipinong Sinematograpo) is hosting a free virtual Q&A featuring some of the most celebrated cinematographers in the country. Featuring LPS members: Neil Daza (“Gusto Kita With All My Hypothalamus”); Carlo Mendoza (“Barber’s Tales”); Cesca Lee (“Ma”); Malay Javier (“People Power Bombshell: The Diary of Vietnam Rose”); Macky Galvez (“Sana Dati”); and more.

The Q&A happens from April 3 through April 15, 2020. Check out the full schedule below.
