Film Twitter has been struck abuzz with anxious predictions in anticipation for today’s 92nd Academy Awards. Per usual, the program is chock full of noteworthy moments. What cinephiles anxiously waited for, however, are the actual awards. You see, this year we’ve got real stakes. There’s Parasite nominated for Best Picture, and it had a clear shot at winning. And as if the universe conspired, it happened. Bong Joon-ho’s masterpiece swept with four Awards, including Best Picture, Best Foreign Film, Best Directing, and Best Screenplay.

Among the other Oscars 2020 winners are Sam Mendes’ 1917 which won Best Cinematography, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Visual Effects, and James Mangold’s Ford v Ferrari, which won Best Sound Editing and Best Film Editing. Joaquin Phoenix won Best Actor for Joker and Renėe Zellweger won Best Actress for Judy.
