“Sakaling Maging Tayo” trailer debuts McLisse’s first film

The film is directed by JP Habac.

Black Sheep has dropped a minute-long teaser-trailer for “Sakaling Maging Tayo”, the first film in their 2019 slate and the debut feature of McCoy De Leon and Elisse Joson—or McLisse, to their most ardent fans.

The film, previously titled “Today Never Happened Before”, follows Pol (De Leon), a tepid young man who kindles a special connection with Laya (Joson) but has trouble professing his true feelings.

The film is directed by JP Habac, whose breakout hit “I’m Drunk, I Love You” enjoys a cult-like status of fame among fans—this writer included.

Black Sheep’s portfolio of youth-centric films includes Dan Villegas’ “Exes Baggage” and Jason Paul Laxamana’s “To Love Some Buddy” from last year.

“Sakaling Maging Tayo” opens in Philippine theaters January 19th, 2019.
