The Viddsee Juree Awards returns to the Philippines for its third edition this 2019. True to the program’s mission, which echoes that of Viddsee itself, the event aims to highlight and celebrate the best short films from Singapore, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
With this, the call for submission for Viddsee Juree PH 2019 is being extended until the 15th of July. Interested parties can submit their films by following this link: vidds.ee/juree2019ph

“Juree is part of Viddsee’s commitment to growing a network of prestigious storytellers, supporting local film communities, and inspiring a new generation of filmmakers across Asia. Each short film shortlisted for the competition will be watched by millions online.”
There are over 500 Filipino short films on the Viddsee platform as of this writing.
Viddsee Juree will have two (2) prizes: Gold and Silver. The winners will be awarded Production Grants worth PHP160,000 and PHP80,000 respectively. They also get to work closely with Viddsee Studios throughout the making of the film, all the way to distribution.
In addition, the Gold Prize winner gets to attend a 5-day Global Film & TV Program to Los Angeles which includes lectures and film events with people of the industry, designed to provide an exclusive and informative introduction to the Hollywood film and television industry.
Meanwhile, all ten (10) shortlisted films will each get free 12-month Adobe Creative Cloud “All Apps” subscription, valued at around $500-$600.
The films will undergo a rigorous selection process. Official selections will be announced on July 19th, after which a voting and judging period will commence. Viddsee has partnered with award-winning filmmakers like Anderson Le (“Saigon Electric”), Baby Ruth Villarama (“Jazz in Love”), and Lucky Kuswandi (“In the Absence of the Sun”), who will all serve as judges.
In order to qualify, your short film should meet two of the three following standards:
The Director is a current Philippines Resident or a Filipino Native
The Executive Producer and/or Producer and/or Screenwriter must be a Filipino native or resident
At least 70% of the film was shot in the Philippines
Here are more requirements to fulfill:
Your film must be completed after 1st January 2017 till present
To join this competition, you are required to submit your film entry from 10th May 2019 onwards
Film submission deadline: 15 July 2019
Your film can be released theatrically or available online (i.e. YouTube, Vimeo) prior to festival competition
Your film can come from across all genres: fiction, documentary, animation
Your film can be presented in their original native language/dialect. Non-English language films are recommended to have English-language subtitles hard-burned in the video or provided in .srt format with the original copy (if you don’t have it, write to us)
Viddsee does not accept works in progress or trailers
Your film must be no longer than 30 minutes (including end credits)
Films selected for Viddsee Juree showcase will be streamed online on Viddsee’s platform and they will not be allowed for a takedown for a period of two years
