“Solo: A Star Wars Story” Trailer Reveals Chewbacca’s Age
Disney has dropped another trailer for its upcoming “Star Wars” standalone film, Ron Howard’s “Solo: A Star Wars Story”.
From the looks of it, Han Solo (Alden Ehrenreich) gets recruited to do a “job” where his skills as a pilot will be put to good use. “I’m a driver, and I’m a flyer. I waited a long time for a shot like this”, he tells Woody Harrelson’s Tobias Beckett, who then replies to him that if he comes along, he will be in that kind of life for good. We also see the first time that Han meets Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover), who Qi’Ra (Emilia Clarke) describes as “the best smuggler in the world”.
But the biggest revelation of the trailer is probably Chewbacca’s age by the time he first met Han Solo. When Han asks him since when he knew how to fly, Chewbacca reveals that he’s actually 190 years old, which presumably makes him around 234 years old in “The Force Awakens”.
“Solo: A Star Wars Story” hits cinemas on May 25, 2018.
